Happy Meal Inspector Gadget
Inspector Gadget was one of the most popular characters of the 90’s, and so it makes perfect sense that McDonald’s was giving out Inspector Gadget toys in its Happy Meal. Each one gave you a different part, and you could collect them all to put the Inspector together along with all of his gadgets.
Happy Meal Mini Furbies
Anyone who was alive during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s will absolutely remember the Furby craze. These robotic owl-like creatures were the must-have toy of those years, and of course McDonald’s offered mini versions as the prized Happy Meal toy during this era.
Happy Meal Tamagotchi Keychains
Similar to Furbys, Tamagotchis were once the must-have item that you simply could not get away from, becoming one of the biggest fads of the late 90’s and early 2000s. While McDonald’s was giving away Tamagotchi keychains as a Happy Meal toy, this version was not digitized and included a plastic egg case with a small toy or game inside of it. Not the real thing, but still cute nonetheless.
Happy Meal Changeables
Happy Meal Changeables were essentially the McDonald’s version of Transformers. You could get one of five toys that would transform from a McDonald’s favorite meal into a robotic fighter.
Happy Meal Teenie Beanie Babies
Speaking of toy crazes, another huge 90’s toy trend includes TY Beanie Babies, which were another must-have toy back in the day. McDonald’s decided to capitalize on the trend and gave out mini “teenie” Beanie Babies as its Happy Meal toy, and it was absolutely a success. How adorable are these tiny versions of their full size plushies?
